Remove Blue Ticks From Whatsapp

As predicted whatsapp has made the ‘read feature’ optional in it’s latest update. (Version 2.11.444 for android)

Update your whatsapp from your store or download whatsapp’s android apk from it’s official website and you will find this new option to turn off ‘blue ticks’ under settings > accounts > privacy settings.

As you know whatsapp, a popular messaging app has recently introduce a “seen” feature that let sender know if the recipients has read their messages- by changing the color of double ticks from brown to blue.

Even though this is a useful feature for some, many other consider this as privacy violation. Also Rumor has it, that users will soon have the option to enable/disable the WhatsApp blue check marks in the future, by going to whatsapp’s privacy setting. However no official statement has been pass on it yet.

Before whatsapp update we had:

 message successfully sent
 message successfully delivered to the recipient’s phone

After 7 Nov, whatsapp added new functionality to its app ie.

 the recipient has read your message

Therefore, to remove this blue check marks you can uninstall the latest version of whatsapp (Version 2.11.431) and install the earlier version. And since this ‘read’ feature is added to latest version only, so blue check marks won’t appear on older version.

After you install the earlier version, your contacts won’t see the  even when you have read their text, however you will also not be able to find out if your message is read by the recipient as well.

Where to find older earlier version of whatsapp:

You can always Google older version of whatsapp or take it from your friend who has not updated his/her whatsapp yet. But make sure it’s not more than 6 months old or it won’t support your system.

Before you go:

Take the backup of your whatsapp conversation and make sure to turn of automatic update off by going to your play store settings.

Alternate way : Use pop-up notification

For those, who could not find the older version of whatsapp, you can still avoid ‘blue ticks’ by enabling the pop up notification.  Open whatsapp > settings > notification > pop up notification > always show pop up.

Now you will be able to read whatsapp messages from pop-up, without even opening the app. And since you are not opening the app ‘blue ticks’ won’t appear.

However remember not to tap anywhere on the pop-up message or it will open the whatsapp application and blue ticks will appear. So when you want to close the message, press the home or back button.

Recover Your Windows Password Using Command Prompt Quick & Easy Way

Most of the people use a secret password to secure their computer. Infinity-Tricks is back with it’s tricks, the first one of the year, but this time a bit “Wicked”. This article will help you geeks to How to hack password locked Windows 7 system using CMD. 

This method is basically based on removeing the existing password (which you have forgotten/don’t know) and reset the password to your like. It’s Simple but effective. Just follow the given steps properly.Some of you may know but this is very handy if you forget your system password .

Steps to be followed:
1) Make the system have a hard shutdown. This can be done by pressing the On/Off button on your computer while the “Starting Windows” screen is active. Do this as many times until you get the ‘Windows Error Recovery’ screen as shown below.

2) In it select the “Launch Startup Repair (recommended)” and a startup recovery option will appear on the screen.

3) Cancel the “Do you want to use System Restore?” prompt.

4) Wait until Windows has finished repairing your computer. This repairing process will not harm any files present in the system.

5) After waiting, a window will appear saying “Startup repair could not repair your computer.” You will also see an arrow pointing downwards in the bottom left corner (Problem Details). Click on it.

6) Scroll down and click the 2nd link. (Highlighted in the figure below)

7) After completing step 6, a Notepad will open up. Follow the given route shown in bold: File => Open => Computer => Local Disk => Windows => System32

8) Switch from Text Documents (*.txt) to All Files.

9) Now, in this folder, System32, find an application named sethc and rename it as sethc-bak(creating a backup file). Sethc is an application for the Sticky keys program and renaming it won’t do any harm to your computer.
Also, find the application named cmd and create a copy of it in the same folder(system32). Rename the copy file as sethc.

10) Close all opened windows and select ‘Finish’ and Restart your system.

11) When the Password screen appears, hit Shift 5 times. Command Prompt(Cmd) with admin privileges is opened by doing so.

12) Enter this code into cmd: net user[username]* to change the [username]’s password. You will not be able to see the new entered password, so enter it wisely and carefully.

13) After you have successfully changed the password, you can close the cmd screen.

14) Enter the new password you’ve set in the password screen of Windows 7, that’s all, you will now successfully enter the system.
